Hi there!
My name is C. B. Irby. I’m a graduate from Penn State Erie, the Behrend College, with a Bachelor’s Degree in the Fine Arts for Creative Writing, as well as a minor in both English and Game Development.
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted, hasn’t it? I started this site to be a home for my writings (poetry and fiction) and then transitioned it to work for both my writings and my game dev related classes that required weekly posts (hence why my posts page used to be called “Poems, Stories, Etc.”), before ultimately stepping away from it to focus more on other projects, work, and school.
Well, it’s 2022, I’m burnt out on a lot of things and I’m ready to step back into it. This website will be the one-stop shop for all of my poetry, story excerpts, and game development/design related content. You can find a link to my Twitch, where I play video games semi-frequently now, at the top of the page underneath the site title. Beside that you can find a link to my Twitter as well, which acts as a sort of mini blog where I post stupid stuff and opinions and stream going live notifications.
As for my old works on this site, they aren’t going anywhere. I do plan to tag all my old content with a new “OLD” tag, but it will remain accessible. In the same vein of me revisiting some of them and providing a new “2021 Note” to clarify, expand, or in some way change my perspective presented in the post, I will be visiting all my old posts and adding a new “2022 note” which will do much the same. All my pre-existing poetry on this website will remain up, and occasional new poems will be added. However, most of my new content will focus on games, games reviews, and opinion pieces regarding games, with the occasional poem or fiction excerpt thrown in for flavor whenever I actually write something.
I hope that you enjoy the content posted to this website, and I hope you enjoy what is to come as well.
